The project establishes a public face for a social service organization incorporating on-site training for Early Head Start childcare providers, drop-in services for families, community meeting rooms and a workplace for service providers conducive to collaborative group sessions and private, focused work.

A playful lobby and childcare space now welcomes the public in this reuse of a previously mute and introverted government service building. Daylight, color and acoustically absorbent materials throughout create an inviting and visually striking environment that remains soothing and supportive of staff.
